About

The late 1980s opened up a charged moment in Hong Kong, forging operatic roots, Hollywood flair, and righteous charisma into deeply satisfying movie entertainment.

Our blast of new restorations includes works like Ching Siu-tung’s A Chinese Ghost Story, Tsui Hark’s Peking Opera Blues, Ringo Lam’s City on Fire, and a quartet of defining films by John Woo: A Better Tomorrow, The Killer, Bullet in the Head, and Hard Boiled.
