NEW 4K RESTORATION!

A Confucian Confusion - The first installment of Yang’s “New Taipei Trilogy.” The film depicts the lives and emotional entanglements of a group of young people entering society in 1990s Taipei.

A Brighter Summer Day - One of Yang’s most representative works, adapted from a real teenage murder case that occurred on Guling Street in Taipei in 1961. Winner of Best Feature Film and Best Original Screenplay at the 28th Golden Horse Awards.

Taipei Story - A 1985 Taiwan New Wave film that earned a Special Recommendation Award at the Locarno Film Festival.

Mahjong - Released in 1996, the second installment of Yang’s “New Taipei Trilogy” (alongside A Confucian Confusion and Yi Yi).
