About Us

BACCS Cinema (Bay Area Collective for Culture and Society) is a San Francisco Bay Area curation and screening platform dedicated to Asian diasporic cinema—on screen and in conversation.

We work between films, audiences, and institutions to transform Asian arthouse cinema into sustained cultural events, not one-off screenings.

Since 2023, we’ve partnered with theaters, film festivals, arts organizations, and streaming platforms across the West Coast to bring local audiences restored classics, bold independents, retrospectives, and cross-disciplinary series. We also invest in local Asian filmmakers and support independent projects to help every story reach the audience it deserves.
